The things people
ask before booking
If yours is not here, call (315) 730-5931 and someone in the office will pick up.
How does billing work?
An hourly rate covering the driver and the vehicle. We do not charge sales tax, credit card processing fees, administrative fees, mileage, tire maintenance or fuel surcharges. The rate times the hours is the price.
Any additional charge is spelled out in the service agreement before you sign it. Parking and tolls are not included. Airport transfers are priced as a flat rate instead. See airport transfers.
Where do you travel?
Upstate New York: Central New York, the Finger Lakes, and out toward Buffalo and the Southern Tier for game days and concerts.
We do not travel to New York City and we do not go out of state.
How do I choose a vehicle?
Browse the fleet and note the unit number under the vehicle you want. Quote that number when you book.
Vehicles are allocated first come, first reserved. We keep a large fleet so there is nearly always something suitable, but we cannot guarantee a specific unit. Prior reservations, maintenance, or a vehicle running long on an earlier job can all intervene. If that happens we substitute a like-for-like vehicle of the same size or larger.
Which vehicles have a restroom?
Party Bus No. 7, our largest. It carries an additional fee covering waste disposal, cleaning and supplies, which is itemised in the service agreement.
For a full-day wine tour it is usually worth it. For a three hour evening it usually is not.
Is alcohol allowed on board?
Yes. Under New York State law a vehicle built to carry ten or more passengers and operated for hire is exempt, so passengers may drink on board. Other permitted passenger vehicles may also allow it.
Everyone on board must still be of legal drinking age to drink. See the question below about mixed-age groups.
What about groups with both adults and minors?
We do not refuse a booking simply because alcohol will be present. You are responsible for complying with New York State law and with our service agreement.
Illegal activity ends the event immediately, on the spot, with no refund. That is not a threat. It is what protects our operating authority, and it is the term we enforce most consistently.
Do you do children's parties?
Yes, and this is the one exception to our usual minimums. Mobile children's parties run on a two hour minimum rather than the standard four, and are easiest to schedule Monday to Thursday. Friday to Sunday carries a longer minimum that varies by season.
We require one adult chaperone for every eight children.
Can I use a car seat?
Limousine buses generally do not have seat belts, so a car seat cannot be secured in most of the fleet. Our Sprinters and SUV do have belts throughout.
Tell us the ages traveling when you request a quote and we will put you in something appropriate.
Do you do concerts, sports and racetracks?
Yes. For live events we quote a set rate that already accounts for overtime, traffic and tailgating, so a show running late does not turn into a bill you were not expecting.
Ask for the event rate specifically when you request a quote.
Do you offer corporate rates?
Yes, for companies and organizations booking regularly. See corporate transportation or ask for account pricing in your quote request.
How do I actually book?
Send a quote request. We confirm the vehicle is free and send a written quote with the service agreement.
You complete and sign the agreement, then verify your identity by email, usually instant. Once verified, the booking manager schedules you, takes the deposit, and you receive two confirmation emails plus the deposit receipt. At that point the date and the vehicle are yours.
Nothing is charged from this website, and a submitted request is not a confirmed booking until you have been charged.
Why do you need an itinerary?
Because federal law requires it. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration requires CDL drivers to keep a record of duty status documenting driving time, breaks and hours of service.
Your itinerary is what makes that record accurate. Send it through the booking flow or email it to Book@BigDsLimos.com.
What is the deposit, and can I get it back?
Thirty percent reserves the date and the vehicle.
We do not issue refunds. We may offer a credit toward another event within the same calendar year, but that is discretionary and has to be agreed with us. It is not automatic and it is not a right. Please be sure of your date before you pay the deposit.
Gratuity is separate: 18–20% on hourly charters, 20% on airport transfers, paid in cash to your driver on the day.
